Professional Experience

HUGE Inc.
Brooklyn, NY
Flash Designer

I worked at HUGE for a year and it was a great experience. I was hired as a Flash Designer, but
served most of my time as a visual designer. My responsibilities included brainstorming concepts
with the project team, and then developing unique designs for clients such as American University, Cellular South, Register.com, ONE.org, and Warner Music Group. Internally, I did video editing and even made a showreel. I still remain a fan of HUGE.

Scanbuy.com
New York, NY
Senior Graphic Designer & Interaction Designer

When I worked at Scanbuy, it was a small web-phone application developer in the heart of New York City. I developed the client-side interface for the company’s proprietary flagship mobile phone application. Most of my time spent with the company was dedicated to the interface design and interaction design of this application; I was solely in-charge of the entire concept. I also lead the design team to completely revise the corporate web site.

Tuesday Interactive
New York, NY
Graphic Designer & Flash Designer

Before the dotcom bubble burst, I lent my talents to a small start-up in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan calling themselves Tuesday Interactive. I was hired to re-design their business website and serve as the company’s sole graphic designer for print, advertisements and, of course, web applications. Tuesday developed online learning software for large corporations such as Verizon to train thousands of employees. Additionally, I designed the look and feel of the company’s software.

Biotech Designs
Brooklyn, NY
Partner & Creative Director

Biotech was the first business I had ever owned and operated. It was established as a small design studio with a few group of people, and soon grew to incorporate business developers, client specialists, in-house photographers, web developers, and Flash gurus. Under the Biotech brand, the studio developed high-concept Flash sites using the latest techniques at the time. The business underwent two renames (Gravitica, Kinetica) before closing in 2001.

Amandla Screen Printing
Bronx, NY
Lead Graphic Designer

During my teenage years, I worked on-and-off for Amandla, a small design boutique in the Bronx, who specialized in urban fashion design. I was hired solely as a graphic design and digital illustrator, but my role grew to that of business developer and associated creative director. I streamlined the production process as well as introduced new concepts and software to the operation. The financial success of the business measurably improved because of my contributions.

Skill Set

I was born a talented illustrator, and moved to digital design during my teenage years. I have come to acquire knowledge of industry-standard software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe AfterEffects, and Adobe Premiere. For print layouts, I understand Adobe InDesign and even Quark. I am comfortable with office software suites, and can work on Macs, but prefer the PC environment.
